La Settimana 4/13

Monday, 21.1.13:

I finally started learning for my exam. The rest of the day I tried to watch 'The Lord of Rings' in italian. And it worked out better than I thought, but I mean it's not that difficult if you know a film by heart :D

Tuesday, 22.1.13:

Flavia and me were having lunch togehter: Pasta con Pesto e Pomodori. Fast and easy! In the evening we went to the chinese Restaurant and ate together with Adrian and Tommaso. We had a very nice but short evening because Flavia was still working on her thesis.
Flavia and Adrian at the chinese restaurant

You know why I enjoy Italy so much? Because I have the Love of my (Teen-)life back: MTV! And we even have tweo MTVs: MTV and MTV Music. So we are listening all day and night at MTV and know all the 10 songs that are repeated all the time by heart. Our favorits in the moment:
This Girl Is On Fire - Alicia Keys
Britney Bitch - Britney Spears and Will.I.Am.
Diamants in the Sky - Rihanna
One Day/ Reckoning Song - Asaf Avidan & the Mojos

But even better than the originals are our own versions of the songs: For exemple One Day Baby we will be Rich. We sing it all day and speak about buying this house over there or this KIKO stuff we have seen. :) I love you guys!

Wednesday, 23.1.13:

Cardgames!
Today I was learning again and Flavia came to put the thesis on a CD,  after that we went to KIKO to buy some new awesome make-up. I really love KIKO and I am so happy that we have one in Cologne!! :) After our little trip through the city Flavia handled in her thesis and in the evening we decided to go out!
Tommaso

We wanted to go to Mercoledì Rock in the Mensa, but we were already to late when we left the house and so we went to some friends of Tommaso and played some drinking games there. Seven in Heaven is a real nice game and we were quite drunk after some rounds. We went to Lunabar and - oh surprise - there was nobody. We danced a bit and enjoyed the space there in the small bar and at 3 am we left and decided to do a trip. I suggested Florence or Assis, but the others didn't want to go to so far so late. So we went to one of the mountains outside the city trying to find SNOW (you know here are people loving and missing snow, while at home everyone is complaining!!!). But unfortunatly we didn't find snow. Maybe next week :-P

Thursday, 24.1.13:

Kamil, Natalia and Alicja at the aperativo
We were back arround 4 am but I could not enjoy my beauty sleep because my roommate set her alarm at 7.30 am but was in the bathroom. So goodbuy sleep and hello new day! Could not concentrate all day till I went to sleep again arround 1 pm. Later in the evening we had our Goodbye-aperativo for the polish.(It's so sad that you have to leave, guys! I will really miss you!!! )
When we came back after the aperativo we were sitting in the kitchen and sharing gossip and were talking for some hours. There is nothing better than kitchen talks with a bottle of wine (or water) <3

Friday, 25.1.13:

Last day for Flavia until she's coming back in February for her Graduation. Originally we just wanted to eat a slice of pizza for lunch, but then we realized that our favorite-aquadotto-pizzeria is closed friday for lunch. So we decided to go to our facorite real pizzeria 'Mediteranea'. I really love this pizza! Best one in the world and even quite cheap!
By accident we met there then my flatmates Angelika and Arek and we had a nice lunch together. After a tea at Flavias place I brought her to the bus at Piazza Partigiani. But unfortunatly the moving staircase didn't work and we made a little walk through the city. On my way back I left the way and nearly found the way from my first trip to Perugia in March. Next step! Have to find the proper way we walked :)

In the night I went out with Tommaso and his italian friends. We were in an interesting disco with psychadelic-trance (?) music. But arround 3 am I was so tired and I was happy when I finally arrived home :)

First Icecream in the year

Saturday, 26.1.13:

I did nothing at all, at 11 am a couple was here to have a look on the (soon) free room, but later I felt asleep again an watched some movies. I love lazy days!

Sunday, 27.1.13:

Who needs lazy sundays when you already had a lazy saterday? :D
In the morning I cleaned the kitchen and the floors and tidied up my room. After lunch (Pasta with Eggplant, olives, tomatos) we made a little walk through the city. The sun was shining and Jürgen, Angelika and me, we had a lot of fun outside. I really loved this day. Feels like spring again :D We even ate our first icecream in the year at GROM and it was so good! I really love Italy!

In the evening we went to Lorenzos place to watch TV together: La vita è bella! Because today was the commemoration day for the deliverance of the Holocaust.

Le parole speciali

Are there special words for everybody? I mean like the one special word one person uses quite often and wich is characteristic of him or her?

Well, I guess I have found one of these words which I use a lot. In german I was told that I use 'verrückt' which means 'crazy' very often. But in a nice and sarcastic way as they told me :)

And now I found this one special word for me in english: I say pretty often 'awesome'. I mean like everything is awesome. What you just said, or the food you just cooked, or the dress you wear. I thing it showes my enthusiasm to all the new stuff I see and learn here in Italy everyday! And I thing enthusiasm is the most important attribute somenody should have. If you sit there all day and everything is grey and the same and boring ans not special at all, then I feel quite sorry for this people. Because life is something beautiful and special and it is over too fast: You can jump out of 7 meters and loose your face or the possibility to walk - or you die in a car accident. Life is a gift we should use as long as we can. So go out, guys, and enjoy life! Travel, go out with friends and do something, whatever make you happy!

Ok, I don't to preach a sermon, but is what I've been thinking for some time now :) So yeah, I use 'awesome' a lot. But maybe everybody should should use this word a bit more :)

Do something weird !

La Settimana 3/13

Wow, already one week back in lovely Perugia.

Monday, 14/01/13

Snow at the Airport in Bonn
On monday it was time to leave Bonn and to fly back to Perugia. I was travelling all day: My mum drove me to the airport in Cologne/Bonn arround 11 before her work. It was the first time this year that it started a bit to snow in the Rhineland and on the motorway was a lot of traffic. So we decided to leave a bit earlier. But of course on our way to the airport there was no traffic at all and we were pretty early at the airport. I went inside alone and drank a very good Chai Latte in a Caffé (who didn't know Chai Latte til now: Chai Tea with expanded hot milk). My flight was on 13.10 and I landed in Rome 2 hours later.

At the airport in Rome I sat down again for an other coffee and waited nearly 2 hours for the bus to Perugia. At 09.00 pm I finally arrived in Perugia and my flatmates already cooked something for me <3 Love you guys! :D
Flavia came over to say hi and I was so happy to be back in Perugia :)

Tuesday, 15/01/13

I was at the grocery store to buy some food, then I was at the bank to take the rent and later I was in the Erasmus Office to take my formular for the exame. You see I was pretty busy on my first monring here :) So now I could start learning for the oral exame about medieval history in three weeks, but of course I did nothing at all :) I see it coming that I start learning 2 days before :)

In 2012 I applied as a volunteer for the International Journalism Festival here in Perugia in April and today I got the acceptance :D I really can't believe it: I will work for the Webradio and I was totally in panic that I should moderate something in italian. But I wrote the staff a message and they told me that I will be there to interview the important international speakers and guests and I can do this in english or even german. So no worries at all and I can't wait till april. This is so cool :D Can't wait till it is April :)

Wednesday, 16/01/13

We are looking for new flatmates for our apartment from the 1st February. So we did some nice papers and I went for a walk through the city with Flavia to put them in different facultys and the mensa. I hope somebody will call us. Specially guys, because with 5 girls it will be too much :)

Snow in Perugia (view from my window)
In the evening we decided to go to Merlins because there should be "The best Party of the Year: Coyote Ugly Party" with free alcohol directly to your mouth. Just give us free alcohol and we're into it. So we went there around 23.30 but of course nobody (!!!) was there. After a drink in Morlacchis we went back to Merlins and now there were at least out polish friends. But of course no free alcohol :-P We had a lot of fun and I was so happy to see you guys again after nearly a month :) When they started to play 50s songs we wanted to give Lunabar a chance and danced there till they closed at 2.30 am. I never saw the Lunabar so empty: We had a lot of space to do whatever we wanted :)

Thursday, 17/01/13

At home everybody is complainig about the snow. But guys! Snow is awesome! So stop complaining and share it with me! Here it started snowing in the evening but it was nealy melted during the night. Thursday is the traditional Student Party Night: At the piazza right in front of our house nearly all students meet. But this time (because of the baby snow) there was nearly nobody. So we went to have a look at Merlins, which was of course empty and then to Lunabar where most of the people were. I would not say that it was crowded or something but there were enough people to have a good time :)

Friday, 18/01/13

We had our first "casting" for the free room in our flat: A weird couple was there, but they were too weird to get the room :) So far we had not many calls for the room: Two spanish guys who just did not appear (I hate them!) and an other spanish guy who wanted to take the room by his own (hmm, rich spanish guy, maybe he had a nice finca somewhere at the beach...). But he called it off as well (hate spanish now!). So so far we have to take a couple from our landlord just for february and for march we are looking now for new guys (and this time no spanish anymore!!!).

Natalia, Adrian, me and Natalia

On Friday night Natalia and Kasia invinded us for a big houseparty. And I have to say: I love housepartys! We should do more! We had a lot of fun, specially with the good polish Wodka :D

Saturday, 19/01/13

I hate hangovers! That's all I have to tell about saturday xD

Sunday, 20/01/13

The typical lazy sunday until Flavia and I decided to to out for an aperativo. We wanted to try something new but it was without all u can eat and so we went ( as always) to lunabar and the food was even better than before christmas. But still there was nearly nobody. I wonder where are all the people :)

Le Settimane 1 e 2/13

So first: A Happy New Year to all of you!

I hope you enjoyed the last days of 2012 and survived the apocalypse :-P

Some people always tell me, that I have to write in a common language so that all of my friends can read it. Thats why I thought of writing in english now. I hope my parents in Germany will be able to read it as well :-P

The few weeks here in Germany are strange somehow. Of course it's my home and my friends and my family are here but somehow it's not my home anymore. Maybe you know what I mean: It is always said that home is where your heart is or something like this, but I think that my home is where my bed, my things and my life are. And that's in the moment in Perugia!

But to be back in Perugia will be strange somehow too, because the most important people there are missing: Sarah, Flavia and Franziska with whom I had a lot of fun during the last months! Girls, I really will miss you!!! Perugia will not be the same without you!

But of couse I enjoy the time here in Germany with my friends and family as well.

My sister and me we were in Düsseldorf, ate at Okinii, which is japanese and means "Thank you!". We spent some time shopping in Düsseldorf and Bonn as well and I bought really nice new stuff :)

I met Charlotte, Judith, Marcel and the little Miss Sunshine Mirja for brunch. One time in the city and another time on Judith's birthday. I celebrated New Years Eve the first time in my life in the amazing town Troisdorf together with Eva and Flo. I met a lot of friends for a coffee which I started drinking now in Italy. I visited Sarah, Julia and Adrian in Saarbrücken and we had a very good time, cooking, eating and chatting like in Perugia. We even did a trip to Strasbourg :) And I was at the Pixar Exibition with Eva and Marit and finally went bowling with my old school friends.

So all in all I had a fantastic time at home but I think now it is time for me to go back to Perugia and enjoy the second half of my ERASMUS time. I'm sure I will meet new awesome people and will party a lot. But now I also have to do more for university. So I have to stop chilling and start doing more!

That's one of my New Year's resolution! Normally I don't believe in stuff like this cause it never works. And if you want to do it you will do it anyway. But yeah, I want to enjoy the time I have in Perugia and I am so happy that I decided to do both semesters: More time to learn the language and more time to enjoy the last year of studying :D
