La Settimana 5/13

Monday, 28.1.13:

A great day to do nothing besides studying. After hours of doing nothing and studying at the same time I decided to go out to buy a new Prepaidcard for my phone. You know that they are still used here in Italy? Well, I was kind of surprised in the beginning. Because in Germany we used them maybe 10 years ago but now it is not even possible to buy a phone with this cards anymore. Contracts are much more useful and easy to handle. Or maybe we are just lazy because we don't need to call a stupid number everytime when the money is gone.... Anyway this was the reason why I had to leave the house in the end :)

In the evening we wanted to do a nice salad, but my roommate Natalia and her friend Marta wanted to cook for us. So we had a little polish dinner with salad!

Tuesday, 29.1.13:

Vita and Angelika
in front of Sant Costanzio
Today was a holiday for the saint of the city, S. Costanzo. Everywhere in the centre were little stands who sold or gave away food and alcohol. Very nice :) But it was not just a day for food but for the heart. It is tradition that not married women go to the church of this saint to pray for a husband. And of course Vita, Angelika and me went there to get a bit help from the saint (maybe it was mor important for Vita and me, than for Angelika, but anyway we had a lot of fun and a nice walk). So maybe we are married soon - who knows :-P

And finally our landlord told us today that he has found somebody for the free room in our flat: Two finnish girls will move in. I hope they are nice, but I'm optimistic :) In the afternoon Angelika made her awesome polish apple cake. Jummi! :D

Wednesday, 30.1.13:

Natalia left in the morning, then I had a Tandem at 11 and we were talking about politics ans specially about Berlusconi. And you what? I think my italian really got better :)
In the afternoon I learnd a bit and registerd for the exam. In Bonn I would do this via Basis, an online platform for our students but here in my faculty it works quite oldfashiond. So I went there took a pen and wrote my name in a list. Wow!
In the evening Vitas friends were here and made some chinese noodles in a pan. We had a nice evening together but we dodn't go out after the dinner. This weeks is really no party week :)

Thursday, 31.1.13:

Best weather the hole week
It is already the last Day of February - unbelievable how fast the time is running :) Just 4 days till the exam and I am a pro in procastrination :) I went to the grocery store and bought some mortadella and ciabatta for breakfast and for lunch we cooked some spaghetti aglio e oglio. Soo good! And so easy! Maggi, a hungarian friend was sleeping here for a few days and today she left Italy to go back to Hungary! I will miss you, honey! :)

The weather here feels like spring the hole week. Sunny and at least 12, 13 degree. I really love Italy!

Friday, 1.2.13:

Today Jürgen moved out and I moved in my new room. On the one hand it's so sad to see him leave but on the other hand I'm so glad to have my own room and so much space just for me! Sharing a room was a very interesting experiance but I'm glad that it's over :)
In the evening we had a little ´Goodbye-Jürgen-Dinner at Lorenzos place and we ate so good! Antipasti with the best ham and cheese and than romanian sausage with polenta. So good, but we have to stop having dinner so late. We finished arround 11 pm and we were sooo tired and full that we couldn't go out anymore :) While we were eating we had a little discussion about what to drink at a dinner. Vita and Lorenzo, the italians could not imagine to drink something else than wine for a dinner. We told them that in Germany we normally drink wine, beer or coke for dinner and they looked at us as if we were totally crazy... haha :) Sometimes italians are kind of strange and close-minded ... but I love them :)
